Sporting Kansas City releases 2012 schedule

Sporting KCs schedule is out.

A week before Kansas City hosts the Major League Soccer 2012 SuperDraft, Sporting KC has released its schedule for next year. The big take-away: Livestrong Sporting Park will be featured on national television seven times — four of them on the newly relaunched NBC Sports Network.

SKC opens the season March 10 in Washington, D.C., against DC United, and takes on the New England Revolution March 17 in its home opener. Other home dates to look forward to include the reigning champions L.A. Galaxy (which might, possibly, maybe still have David Beckham) April 7, expansion team Montreal Impact making its first trip to Kansas May 5, and the Houston Dynamo — which defeated Sporting in last season's Eastern Conference Finals — returning to Livestrong July 7.
