
James, 57, was found dead inside a home in the 6600 block of East 13th Street around 7:40 a.m.
Police say the cause of James' death has not been determined but is being investigated as a homicide.

Walker, 46, is charged with three counts of first-degree murder, three counts of armed criminal action, and first-degree burglary.
Bloody drag marks led police to Williams' body, which was found outside a home at 39th and Paseo around 8 a.m. Whoever killed him had attempted to hide his body under a tarp and a tire.
Inside the home, detectives found the bodies of the Pikes. All three victim had been shot, and .40-caliber shell casings were found near the victims' bodies.
Guzman, 22, was found dead outside a home around 2:30 a.m.
Kansas City police have yet to release any suspect information.

The investigation began around 8 a.m. The Kansas City Star reported that Brown's "body showed obvious trauma." Her cause of death has yet to be determined.
However, the 32-year-old's death is being investigated as a homicide.
Brown's death is the second homicide in the last couple of days. Homicide detectives are also working a case from 53rd and Cleveland.
Police say 16-year-old Tony Hughes was shot to death while sitting on a porch at 30th and Oakley around 3 a.m. Saturday.
A 17-year-old woman was also shot. At last word, she was listed in critical condition but expected to survive.
Detectives are still looking for suspects in the case. A witness saw a red passenger car drive by the victims and open fire.
Hughes is KCMO's 50th homicide victim of 2012.

Preston, 23, was rushed to a local hospital around 4:14 p.m. but died from his injuries. The other shooting victim is in stable condition.
Preston was believed to be a resident of Kansas City, Missouri. He is KCMO's 49th homicide victim of 2012. Preston had no ties to the YMCA.

Around 7:15 a.m., authorities were called to the scene where they found Chinn's body. Chinn, 57, was from Kansas City, Missouri.
Police say they have not yet determined Chinn's cause of death. They also aren't sure how long her body had been at the scene. However, on Sunday, detectives were investigating her death as a homicide.
The Kansas City Police Department's latest homicide analysis says the city's homicide total is now at 48 for 2012. In 2011, there was also 48 homicides at this time.
Maxey is Kansas City, Missouri's 48th homicide victim of 2012.
Police haven't released any suspect information at this time.

A juror (who asked to remain anonymous) recounted last week's trial of Howard Harmon, who was accused of killing Jones. The jury found Harmon guilty of first-degree murder, first-degree robbery and armed criminal action. (Harmon didn't testify in his defense.)

Kansas City police were called to a shooting at 6006 East 31st Street around 1 a.m. Officers found Peters, a clerk at the motel, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
