Subject: Arrowhead Stadium

  • Arrowhead expands before your eyes

This is what Arrowhead Stadium will look like once the cranes are gone (apparently on another gloomy KC day). This Web cam is what it looks like now. Overland Park's P-Tn started the eye on Arrowhead last Friday. Check out Arrowhead's video progression, which will only get better with time, just like the H&R Block Building. I'm not much of a Chiefs fan, but Arrowhead looks cool lit up at night.  -- Justin Kendall

  • The Big 12 Championship game is played where?

Why at Arrowhead Stadium in beautiful Kansas City, Texas. Not sure how I missed this in the countless hours that I spent playing EA Sports' NCAA Football 2009. But Eric Barton, The Pitch's former managing editor and the current bigshot with our sister paper in Broward-Palm Beach, caught the error while leading the Missouri Tigers to the title game. The championship game does alternate between Kansas City and Dallas, so it's easy to see why EA made the mistake. Hopefully, they fix it in NCAA Footb

  • Newsweek digs up story on Michael Jackson's 1984 tour kick off in KC

Yesterday, we posted a video from the Jacksons' 1984 Victory Tour, which started at Arrowhead Stadium. Newsweek dipped into its archives and dug up this cover story on the Michael Jackson phenomenon in the '80s. Here's how crazy people were for the King of Pop back then:In Kansas City, the hoopla began in June. When newspapers containing the first official ticket order forms rolled off the presses in the early hours of June 19, fans were lined up to buy them. "It's ridiculous!" said disc jockey

Michael Jackson has died at age 50, say the local TV news stations. Harper over on the Wayward Blog found a treasure trove of live concert videos on YouTube. Here's one from the King of Pop's Arrowhead Stadium stop on the Jacksons' 1984 Victory Tour.

  • World Cup™ futbol coming to Arrowhead?

Arrowhead Stadium is on the not-so short list of stadiums that could host the heavily trademarked FIFA World Cup™ in 2018 or 2022. How short can a list be that include 26 other cities and stadiums? Well, they cut it from 70. "Bringing the FIFA World Cup™ - the greatest international sporting event in the world - to Kansas City was a dream of my father's throughout his career," Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt said in a statement. "The New Arrowhead Stadium and Kansas City would be magnificent

  • Top 10 hot but liquor-free drinks

Yep, it's cold outside. That makes us think about hot drinks. Here are the metro's Top 10 non-alcoholic warm-ups, according to Fat City: 10) Arrowhead Stadium -- Hot Chocolate. There's something about concession-stand hot chocolate: It's the right amount of sweetness and chalkiness that makes you feel like a kid again. 9) Madame Hatter's Tea Room -- Kansas City once had a dozen little tea rooms like this retro venue in Bonner Springs, mostly designed for ladies after a weary day of rig
