Dear touring punk rock bands. If you decide to come through Lawrence, please do not play at the Granada. Despite what you may have heard about the place getting a new sound system, based on last night's show, your mix will sound muddled and your vocals will be practically inaudible. In what seems to be yet another punk show tonight, Norman, Oklahoma's Over Stars & Gutters will hit the Replay as part of a short midwestern jaunt in support of their self-released debut, Consider This Your Curse.
Wes, myspace.com/overstarsandguttersOver Stars & Gutters plays punk in the vein of Dillinger Four, Off With Their Heads, and Banner Pilot. It's that gruffly emotional style of punk rock that seems to be in vogue right now amongst OrgCore punkers.

Being as how I missed Off With Their Heads when they came through all the way back in December at Club Mustache, I am bouncing up and down in my chair as I realize that I not only finally get to see Minneapolis' finest (yeah, yeah... after Dillinger Four), I get to see them a ten-minute bike ride from my house.
From the Bottom made half of the punk rock "Best of" lists last year, and for good reason. The guitars are crunchy, the vocals are gruff, there's some melody to carry things along
