40 years ago today, on January 12, 1969, Led Zeppelin began taking steps to put the mudshark in your mythology with its debut release, Led Zeppelin I. It would be an all-too-fleeting 13 or so years until the group's last album, The Final Rip-Off, which caused the death of drummer John Bonham.
