    Jackson County prosecutors charged Vincent R. Muzquiz with unlawful use of weapons (drive-by shootings) and armed criminal action today in connection with the death of Rebecca Amparan-Chacon.   • Killa City: KCMO homicide, Ashley D. Thomas

    Kansas City police say 25-year-old Ashley D. Thomas was the pregnant woman who was shot and killed Friday evening. Police found Thomas, who was nine-months pregnant, and her unnamed boyfriend shot inside a car outside an apartment building in the 1300 block of East Armor around 5:18 p.m. Friday.   • Matthew A. Johnston's skeletal remains found in Blue Summit

    Matthew A. Johnston​The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says the human skeletal remains found in a wooded area earlier this week belong to 33-year-old Matthew A. Johnston. A citizen found the bones on Tuesday in the woods northwest of 18th Street and Sedweek in Blue Summit. The Jackson County Medical Examiner's Office positively ID'ed the remains. However, the cause of death has not yet been determined and the case is still being investigated.
