After Pitch art director Zachary Trover's experience at B-Bop Comics last week, Justin Kendall and I went to Saturday's comic convention at the Doubletree Hotel in Overland Park. We hoped this would provide us with an opportunity to write about the more intelligent side of the comic world. We were wrong.

Dave Mustaine didn't exactly get presented in the best light in Some Kind of Monster, but I'm actually more inclined to understand why he writes all of those songs that come off as a man tortured and oppressed. Metalheads across the country got bummed the hell out when the American Carnage tour got postponed because Slayer's Tom Araya needed some surgery.
However, metalheads in Kansas City have reason to rejoice. When the tour got rescheduled, certain dates had to get dropped because of shows already booked in those venues.
Thus, they added dates to places where the tour had not originally been scheduled. The short way of saying that is that Slayer, Megadeth, and Testament play Capitol Federal
