  • Julia Child online

Has it really been five years since Julia Child's death? Her cookbooks continue to connect us to her but they only a capture a piece of her genius. For a more complete picture, we need the Julia Child of television. Her show The French Chef was an inspiration for dozens of Food Network personalities.Unfortunately it isn't online (yet!) but one of her other television series is -- Cooking with Master Chefs, the 1994 show that helped shine the spotlight on 16 chefs including Lidia Bastianich and E

  • Julie & Julia trailer finally here

Well, that didn't take long. Shortly after Sony Pictures released the poster and the Web site for Julie & Julia, the trailer is now online:Meryl Streep's impression will either carry or tank this movie. • Breakfast Buffet: Tuesday, August 25

Thanks to the very sweet comedy, Julie & Julia, the late Julia Child is finally at the top of the bestseller list, 48 years after Mastering the Art of French Cooking was first published. Have you seen the film yet? It's very endearing and Meryl Streep is amazing as the indominable Mrs. Child. The biggest laugh during the film, interestingly enough, was when the characters played by Amy Adams and Chris Messina watched this brilliant SNL sketch from 1978. It's amazing, but Dan Akroyd w
