The east Crossroads was pretty dead last night, save for a small, brick building -- more like a room, actually -- just south of Grinders. The Scion Lab is a brand-new venue that's begun hosting music, fashion shows and afterparties for CrossroadsKC shows. It has doors that open directly onto the concert lot behind Grinders (though its main entrance faces the parking lot on the east side of McGee south of 18th). INnate Sounds guru and all-around man of many talents Miles Bonny is in Sweden right now, touring with Diplo. He'll be back in Berlin soon, the site of this amazing "late late night" jam session with Rabbi Darkside on the beatbox with Charles Cooper (Liquid Crystal Project) on saxophone, and Bonny himself on trumpet. The video was shot last week at Cassiopeia in Berlin.
Bonny will be back in the States soon enough, and DJs on September 4 at Firefly.
