  • Columbia police chief wants Jayhawks arrested

Crime Scene KC is right. This mock press release from interim Columbia Chief of Police Tom Dresner is a pretty great follow up to his hometown Missouri Tigers falling to the Kansas Jayhawks. Dresner wrote the note to Lawrence Chief of Police W. Ronald Olin, saying he was issuing warrants for first-degree robbery against the entire Jayhawk football team. "Not since the horrendous 'Fifth Down' robbery committed against us by the Colorado Buffalos on October 6, 1990 have the citizens of our fair ci

WWEMickie James cheers for MizzouThis seems to be the best time to share the above photo of former WWE women's champion Mickie James wearing a Missouri Tigers basketball jersey. Professional wrestling's biggest weekly television show, WWE's Monday Night Raw, broadcasts live from the Sprint Center tonight starting at 8 p.m. on USA. Not sure if we'll get to see James in her Mizzou jersey tonight -- there's a few more provocative pics of James in short shorts and booty shots on the WWE's Divas site

  • The Big 12 Championship game is played where?

Why at Arrowhead Stadium in beautiful Kansas City, Texas. Not sure how I missed this in the countless hours that I spent playing EA Sports' NCAA Football 2009. But Eric Barton, The Pitch's former managing editor and the current bigshot with our sister paper in Broward-Palm Beach, caught the error while leading the Missouri Tigers to the title game. The championship game does alternate between Kansas City and Dallas, so it's easy to see why EA made the mistake. Hopefully, they fix it in NCAA Footb

Don't feel bad, University of Missouri-Kansas City. At least you made it on Forbes' list of "America's Best Colleges," even if it's at No. 592 out of 600. And look at you, Rockhurst. Nice work. Here's the list of top colleges in Missouri and where they ranked overall: No. 45 -- Washington UniversityNo. 126 -- Westminster CollegeNo. 163 -- Rockhurst University No. 243 -- Drury University No. 317 -- William Jewell College No. 374 -- University of Missouri, Columbia No. 469 -- Truman

  • And we're back ...

The chiefs didn't lose Sunday. They also didn't play. Mercifully for us and them. But the Larry Johnson news didn't stop over the weekend. The Chiefs and LJ agreed on a settlement figure the troubled running back will give up during his suspension: $300,000. So LJ can keep bragging about having money -- but not for long if the Chiefs dump him. Arrowhead Pride compiled a couple of news reports (here and here) surveying NFL general managers, and none seem interested in a back that's nearly 30 and
