  • Video: Janelle Monae joins No Doubt and Paramore on stage in New York

No Doubt and Paramore are playing the Starlight a week from today. No idea whether they'll be joined on stage by Kansas City, Kansas, native Janelle Monae, who, this weekend in Jones Beach , NY, bounced on stage in her trademark pompadour, white jacket and saddle shoes to join the percussive action on "Stand and Deliver." Someone on the front row had a HD handheld and caught the Monae appearance. Now if only she'd appear here.

  • Concert Review: No Doubt and Paramore @ Starlight

It was an all-white party when No Doubt took the stage at Starlight Theatre last night as part of their reunion tour. Scott Spychalski Headlining a triple bill that also featured Paramore and Bedouin Soundclash, the members of No Doubt showed off the sort of lovable ska-eccentricity that made the group one of the most popular bands in the '90s. Scott Spychalski As the capacity crowd cheered in anticipation, No Doubt emerged from their hiatus in variations of all-white suits, blond mohawks (fa

  • Sorry, you just missed the Taco Bell truck

This city has a sad under-representation of taco trucks. We have a few, but not dozens like Los Angeles or San Francisco, where they supposedly drive around day and night delivering amazing tacos. But leave it to eagle-eyed friends of Fat City to spot the Taco Bell Truck at Starlight Theater during Monday night's No Doubt concert (which our sister Wayward Blog covered quite well). The Taco Bell Truck is slowly making its way across America, handing out tacos. This past Sunday and Monday it was in

I commend his bravery and determination. Someone get That Guy a beer. -- Jason Harper BY THAT GUY I was an angry young man living in Salt Lake City when I attended my first Warped Tour in 1995. • Buy Mark Knopfler Tickets, Get His New Album For Free

Former Dire Straits frontman Mark Knopfler comes to the Midland on April 21. We know -- that's a little bit too much advance notice. However, advance tickets go on sale today at 10am, and this show's going to have plenty of time to simmer and build notice. Knopfler's new album, Get Lucky, comes out tomorrow, and there's sure to be plenty of hubbub surrounding it, as he's not released anything for two years. Zoriah Plus, if you buy your tickets online, rather than at the Midland box offic
