Local Bonny Does Good

Posted by Jason Harper on Thu, Dec 7, 2006 at 5:25 PM

Break out the Cubans! Miles Bonny's self-released solo CD Smell Smoke? has just been picked up by Fat Beats Records out of Brooklyn.

Miles can see for miles.

A label attached to a store (or rather, three stores: in NY, LA and Amsterdam, all of which Miles has visited), Fat Beats distributes independent hip-hop worldwide. Our own Love Garden, for instance, receives CDs and vinyl from Fat Beats.

"I am NOT ON Fat Beats, although they HAVE expressed interest on me being on Fat Beats records at some point," he told me today, via e-mail. "We'll see. It would have to be the right situation for both of us at that time. I'm in no rush."

Walk to glide, Miles baby, you're going worldwide.
