This weekend, our pal Roach, who's temporarily sitting in on bass with the Gaslights for a tour of Belgium, sent a couple of self-described drunken e-mails. I'm passing them along to you, unedited. Enjoy.
Drunken E-mail 1It is 3am and we are drunk
4 shows in 3 Days
We had 2 today 1st one of the Prisons
It was a fucking Castle, Literally
built in 1800's at least
every show has been great well attended and fun as hell
THE BEER IS SO GREAT AND THEY HAVE ALL WE CAN DRINK!!!
The women are so beautiful it is mind blowing
the country is clean and everything is close together
we played in Goes, Holland the first night qnd you know what that means for me(roach) legal as hell it is a beautiful thing
The world is huge and KC SUX all of a sudden
Abby rode a Blegian Stallion today and is now the rodeo queen of Belgium
Glen says hello, as does everyone else, and we shall get many cervesas upon return

Drunken E-mail 2The second prison was FUCKING AWESOME
They were dancing and screaming like mad
They said they are not supposed to get up and dance but one guy did and then a couple more looked around and nothing happened so they got up
next thing you know people were on top of their chairs
there were women prisoners in the back and the guys in front were part of the time turned around trying to get the girls to flash
huge and i mean TV huge motherfuckers taking of their shirts and swinging them over their heads
the girls in the back shaking their chests at the dudes
it was distracting at least
i fucked up a couple times from watching
so we got done and they yelled for an encore and of course we did it
so the warden guy said through the mic
girls can come up front and dance with the guys if they are cool
i was shitting myself
it has by far been the best show of the tour and maybe my life
then we played another show in Preda, Holland after
we have one show tomorrow and it feels like a vacation
6 one hour sets in 2 days in ' different cities and i am happily exhausted
going to sleep

Yeah--What roqch said!!!!!!!!!!! Glad to be representing th city of fountains! He's right, shit is crazy. Hope to see you all on the 9th at Davey's. We should be well on top of it. We have a 12 hour drive before the gig, but that's how it rolls in the good old U.S.of fucking A!!!!!!!!! What does one have to do to get thrown into a Belgian prison? And is it like "Oz" except the opposite? Instead of getting gang raped you get a birthday party with waffles and Godiva chocolate?
the last bass player they took to europe lost his cellphone...let's hope roach doesn't do the same.
