The Return of Joe Good

Tonight, local rapper Joe Good returns from "retirement" with a show tonight at the Mercy Seat, or, rather, behind the Mercy Seat, where they've set up a stage and have been putting on really fun live shows with free beer for the grown-ups.

So even if you're rolling your eyes at yet another MC who said he was quitting then said "just kidding", it'll definitely be worth dropping by on your First Friday crawl. (Hey, Joe: Don't make a big deal out of being "back." Don't, like, write a song or even drop a rhyme about how you're back from retirement, or whatever. Just act like you never left. It's best not to identify oneself as a man who cannot make up his mind regarding his own career and life. Two months doesn't really qualify as time spent in retirement anyway.)

Joining Mr. Good is Panic, member of Empire and author of the Madcell Mixtape. It's a rare opportunity to see this cat perform live, so don't miss out.

In the name of friendship. Gotta respect a man who keeps his word, just like miles being on stage with joe, gotta love the camaraderie of that. Wordbond = family
in these times . . . . priceless
