New Track From That New Paul Malinowski Project

Posted by Jason Harper on Thu, Jan 10, 2008 at 11:01 AM

Someone told us that this week's issue of The Pitch is the Paul Malinowski Love Issue. That's why there's cocaine and blood on the cover. Not really. But the two biggest music articles this week mention or directly talk about Paul: the feature on Ghosty, and the Buckle Bunny music column on Paul's new band, Big Sky Blue Earth*.

To further spread the love, we bring you an exclusive, motherfuckers-ain't-never-heard-this-before track. We begged Paul endlessly to give us something, and, nice guy that he is, he put together a mix he was working on. So this is an early mix, not something off a finished album or anything. Rocks like a bitch, though. Like Genesis thrown into a dumptruck full of robotic gorillas.

Big Sky Blue Earth, "The Grove"

We have also designed a special MALINOWSKI EMOTICON for this occasion, complete with conductor's cap and beard:

And here is a classic cinema spider:

*In the print edition of The Pitch, the first mention of the band was incorrectly given as "Big Earth Blue Sky." We's gots our earths and our skies confused.

I guess I need to install a laser light show on my iPod so I can get the live experience!
