Tom Petty's Coming to Town

Good news for us all! One of America's greatest living motherfucking awesome dudes and his equally awesome backing-band dudes -- I'm talking TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS -- are coming to the Sprint Center on July 22, 2008. Tickets will range from $55 to $99 and will go on sale February 4, the day after Petty and the boys play the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Steve Winwood is rolling with it as the opening act for the band's 2008 tour.

I don't know about y'all, but I feel better about being an American knowing that Tom Petty is one, too.

I though Tom was, like, one of the good guys? Totally outclassed by that ham-in-a-hat Garth.
