you can't be entered in the contest if you don't enter a mix, and they only pick 5 djs. so if there WERE some really hot no-name Dj that was in the league of the people who were chosen, things mighta come out diffrently. guess all these well-known dudes really are the best in the city right now.

Anonymous DJ dude, does have a point. These 5 DJ's / DJ DUO's are pretty well known around KC and usually are always the ones who are running around in the night club / bar circuit. And having the same old shit going down to miami to represent KC would really be a disgrace. But also you gotta look at these DJ's though.
SKU for one i have seen that guy and technically he is off the chain, and he does keep the crowd bumping at sake bar. I have heard this guy do stuff with house / dance tracks that you rarley hear from most djs.
Clockwerk I saw him at the battle at Jilly's for UMF a few years ago and his set was good, he didn't win but his set was still dope. I would imagine that the past few years he has grown as a DJ and is ready to bring it. Pluss he holds it down at Jillys like no other.
Tactic well those guys are pretty amazing you never know what your going to hear at Nara the full range of music they throw down along with there remixes they do is off the charts. Its amazing when you go to a sushi bar and see people dancing all around the tables and booths and your wondering this is a restaurant what the hells going on then you see them spinning and actually listen to whats going on and thats when it hits you these guys are bad ass. These guys definitely have a good chance at winning it this year.
Nomathmatics out of this whole group are probably the most original with the music they are both remixing and playing. I have never seen nomathmatics so it will be a treat to see them perform on the 22nd but they have to be good to be selected for a finalist.
Shaun Flo this guy suprised the hell out of me. when i go to NV i hear your same old crap that was on the radio when he spins and a few good dance tracks. but when i saw him open for bad boy bill omg that guys set was amazing i was speachless, i would have to say locally his set was probably one of the best if not the best i have heard, im really eager to see him cause i want to see another set like i saw at bad boy bill.
So with that said about all the DJ's yes they are the same names you hear around town but there is a reason you hear their names so much. Its because they have the skill and are at the level to compete for a prize like spinning at UMF. also the pitch i do not think in my opinion has ever chose a crappy dj to go down to miami, i mean this is the 4th year if they keep getting this deal they gotta be doing something right. SpinStylez last year killed it that guy is an amazing DJ. When Control Freakz won it omg those guys had the whole room jumping it felt like an earthquake.
i do wish there was an underdog or no name dj in there cause that would make it all the more interesting but i think the lineup this year is going to be a good one. cant wait for the show.

I take that back you all don't suck, I listened to your mixes and the ones I liked were Nomathmatics and Tactic, Clockwerk was ok and when I try to listen to Shaunflos mix it keeps playing Nomathmatics mix, so lucky you shaunflo. I must say it is odd that all the finalists are the same old djs we see all the time, I mean come on you could have selected AT LEAST ONE! No name dj but I plainly recognize all of these GUYS from around the city.Yes, as you may have guest I am that no name dj who wasn't selected but the fact is NV is the bomb club so I will be there front row center to listen if your preformance is as good as your mix.I would be even willing to play with no chance for miami just to show you mo fos wuz up. No disrespect intended I just want some cool shit going down in our town and not the same old same old.
