The annual Paid Dues hip-hop festival took place in San Bernardino, CA, over the weekend. Sage Francis, who took second billing, and a few guest MCs from his Strange Famous Records roster put together a posse cut to commemorate the occasion. Grab it below.

After giving away their Wizard of Ahhhs EP of demos on MySpace, Jacksonville’s Black Kids are looking to cash in. The first proper single, due April 8, is a revamped recording of “I’m Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance with You,” along with a few b-sides. I had high hopes for the Raconteurs’ leak-proof strategy, but someone at iTunes got trigger happy last Friday. Déjà vu, right? Let’s hope someone pirates a copy of the inevitable and well-deserved tongue-lashing coming from Jack White. You can purchase Consolers of the Lonely in all 320 kilobits-per-second of glory, directly from the source, right here starting tomorrow.

Hi Andy / T-P,

On behalf of XL Recordings and Warner Bros Records, many thanks for plugging Consolers Of The Lonely and The Ranconteurs pioneering, fans-first release concept .. it was a pity about the early leak via iTunes, but at least the album made it to the stores - and the fans - in record time (no pun intended).

Regards,
