Rumors of Rich Boys' Demise Have Sorta Been Exaggerated

Posted by Jason Harper on Mon, Apr 14, 2008 at 1:06 PM

I just got off the phone with Rich Boys frontman Mitch Rich, who says that despite what you may have heard, the band is still alive.

Mitch says he's not sure which original Boys will accompany him into the next incarnation but that he wants to play live as soon as possible. "I'm just taking this into my own hands," Mitch said. In addition to taking up the guitar for the first time as Rich Boys frontman, he's working with local label Minnow Records to do a full release of the band's 2007 debut album $.

The Wayward Blog wishes Mitch all the best in keepin' the dream alive. Kansas City would be poorer without the Rich Boys.
