The Dandy Warhols have been on a downward trajectory ever since its 2000 LP, 13 Tales from Urban Bohemia, so let’s hope that the opener for LP6 (available below), is nothing more than an intro (which might explain the album’s double ellipses). …Earth to Dandy Warhols… will be the Portland outfit’s first since parting ways with Capitol Records. They posted this message on their Web site:

On May 19, 2008, you will be able to buy and download the whole enchilada, ...Earth To The Dandy Warhols..., as part of our new subscription service that will include exclusive digital audio content for one (Earth) year, including NEW b-sides and live tracks.

Also on May 19, we're relaunching our Dandy Warhols Webstore, with not only a new look, but also nine brand new t-shirt designs that'll be sure to make Anna Wintour super bummed.

And when you know when people say "and this is just the beginning", and you're like "yeah, right", because you have been burned by "Hollywood" and "Madison Ave" and your conniving ex, like, a million times? Yeah, well, you can forget all that...

This is just the beginning of a New World for The Dandy Warhols.

Thank you for flying with us.

Ciao,
