Secretly Canadian is taking the War on Drugs to a national level. The Philadelphia outfit’s debut LP, Wagonwheel Blues, releases next Tuesday. The label describes its sound as “layered with popping ecstatic guitars, with drums sitting firmly and a voice that is urgent and in control, it's like ‘I'm On Fire’-era Springsteen with 80s sing-along qualities while still being firmly planted in the present.” [um, sic]
