a.k.a "New Song For You To Not Stop Listening To"

The title of the song alone is diamonds.

MP3: "Horserider's Smile" by Suzannah Johannes

When Neil Young went out on that one weekend, he must've met a previous-life Suzannah Johannes. Her sleepy, lilting voice that comes near breaking on verse two, that beautiful old-country guitar lead, the Stray Gators-style rhythm lope, the line I was born with a key in my hand and a horserider's smile/I'll come looking for you in the night and I'll make it worth your while -- this song really is hard to stop listening to, a perfect lowdown ode.

Suzannah's debut EP comes out on vinyl 7-inch and digitally September 2, 2008, courtesy of her label, Range Life Records.
