Why I Did Not Review Melissa Etheridge Last Night at the Midland Theatre

Subject: Bad News Bears!

I regret to inform you I was unable to enter the *amazing* Melissa Etheridge show with my big camera. We were allowed to use point and shoots, but our tickets were on the fourth level, so the pictures were in the style of something I like to call: Just another blurry dyke in the distance

The theater is SO unbelievably gorgeous though. If you haven't seen it yet, you've got to check it out. So, in conclusion I've got nothing for you -- except this little nugget:

Question: What's funnier than a theater full of lesbians swaying and crying, Southern Baptist style, to Melissa Etheridge belting out her super annoying Cancer song?

Answer: I don't know. Maybe nothing.

Have a good day, sir.

Nicole, honey.
I don't know if you're a lesbian with an ironically bad sense of humor or a homophobic straight chick who thinks that Sarah Palin is "like, so cool" but you are not funny, you are not professional, and not worthy of any other jobs that The Pitch might send your way.

"another blurry dyke in the distance"..."super annoying Cancer song"...are you for real? How incredibly disrespectful towards a hometown hero like Etheridge that has done so much for her hometown. You don't have to like her music, but try growing a little maturity and respecting her has a human being. I was at the show and franky, everyone I've spoken to about it thought it was incredible so it's unfortunate that you chose to write such nasty words about such a kind person. Although I'm sure she's had her share of people like you throughout her career.
