Benefits for Shooting Victim Erica Peterson

Last Friday, 25-year-old Erica Peterson was shot in the stomach during a purse-snatching at 17th and McGee. Full details on the crime are here. Peterson has spent the past week in the intensive care unit of Truman Medical Center and has undergone multiple surgeries. Fundraisers are being held to offset the cost of Peterson’s treatment and recuperation, including two this weekend.

The first, a free show tonight at the Newsroom, includes performances by Visualizer, Mythical Beast, and Hanz Bronze, as well as DJs Lame Stain & Zombie Lust.

The second, to be held this Saturday at Crosstown Station (1522 McGee), features Culture Prophet, Nomathmatics, DJ Iggy Baby, Dunkjamz, Phillip Beretta, and Hoodie.
