Download, Stream, Burn: Kristin Hersh of Throwing Muses' Kansas City House Concert

Posted by Jason Harper on Mon, Oct 6, 2008 at 10:25 AM

Most of y'all probably had no idea that legendary Throwing Muses singer Kristin Hersh was coming through Kansas City on September 25 to play a house show for about 30 lucky friends of local Muses fanatic Tom Kennedy. But, well, she did.

Kennedy has posted audio of the entire concert -- 15 tracks in two parts. It's so intimate and quiet, you can hear insects whirring in the background.

Download part one here and part two there.

Kristin Hersh is just phenomenal. She truly is a legend, and what a privilege for the people of Kansas City to be blessed by her presence.

I was afraid of that! I had an off day yesterday. Sorry, Tom. The picture has been updated to show (I think) Kristin in better focus. Hopefully, Tanya enjoyed her time here and on our home page. (ack!)

Kristin is the blurred gal in the background, too, by the way...That's Tanya Donelly in the foreground...

Thanks for posting up, Jason!
