When Margot and the Nuclear So and So’s disagreed with Epic Records about the track selection on their sophomore LP, they managed to get what they wanted, sort of. Last month, the Indianapolis outfit simultaneously released Animal! and Not Animal, the latter being the label’s suggested version. The art-rock octet recently downsized itself to a trio for its four-song performance at AOL’s Interface Studio and will be in full-force at Mojo’s in Columbia, MO, this Wednesday.
