In 2002, Division of Laura Lee was poised to become a household name here in the States. The band’s proper debut, Black City, rode in on the same Swedish postpunk wave that launched international careers for acts like the Hives and International Noise Conspiracy. Unfortunately, the title of its dismal 2004 follow-up seemed to say it all: Das Not Compute.
We’ll see if they got the syntax right this time with LP3, out today overseas. No U.S. date has been set, but you can grab the first single from Violence is Timeless below, as well as an exclusive live track right here at RCRD LBL.
