Apparently, the Phoenix is open again. Yeah, late to the game on that, I know. Pastic Sax Bill has twice reported on the downtown jazz piano hoo-ha club's reopening, and the Star ran an article a month ago on the purchase of the defunct club by Matt Jones, owner of the Dark Horse, Torre's and the Jaywalker -- all sporty midtown joints.
But DID YOU KNOW that the Phoenix is having Acid Jazz Monday Nights now? For that, we have but four words...

It's like they just dusted everything off and unlocked the doors. It's the great place it always was. My only gripe is the audience is still just as chatty as they were in the past. C'mon folks. Show some respect for the artist's please.
