It's been a while since Pete Yorn has bothered to update his website and MySpace page, so kudos to Heather Browne's I Am Fuel, You are Friends for posting two new, exclusive tracks from his upcoming releases. According to her blog:
"'Shotgun' is from Pete's new full length, produced by Mike Mogis and recorded in Omaha. This is fresh from the mastering lab, and feels both darkly brooding and soaring at the same time and 'Sans Fear' is a highly winsome tune from the Frank Black (Pixies) produced EP, which was recorded in Salem, Oregon."
Mike Mogis has been the go-to guy for many of Saddle Creek Records' releases and is a permanent member of Bright Eyes, making us wonder if there isn't a label change in Yorn's future. Download both tracks below.

Its cool that you wrote this article, but, you are a bit off. Pete actually had the new songs on MySpace before the blogger posted them. He also has a fan page on Facebook at

thats because he mainly uses facebook and sends out bulletins on myspace as "updates"
and if you "bother" to check the peteyorn.com message board you will see "updates" there too
