Steve Stein, a.k.a. Steinski, has a knack for turning history into hip-hop. Back in the 80's, the NYC producer (alongside his collage cohort, Double Dee), caught the world's attention with by chopping and mixing the drum track from the Rolling Stones' "Honky Tonk Women" with soundbites from the JFK assassination. Thankfully, the subject matter associated with his latest blend is a bit lighter. From his blog:

"The more I watched the clip of Reverend Lowery delivering the benediction after Obama's swearing-in, the more I liked it. So I edited it rather extensively, and laid it over a mix I've been playing out for a while. I did it quickly, it's rough (for real), but it has the feeling."

Download the track below and check out Steinski's MP3 page for a crate's worth of free tunes.
