Bannister Mall: Spooky, Abandoned ... Perfect Place for a Techno Video

Our friend Lethal D spent some time this weekend photographing one of the more depressing places in town, shabby old rundown Bannister Mall. The pictures don't have anything to do with music, except that D is a local musician. Cue up some minimalist German techno or Godspeed You Black Emperor while you look at these photos, and there you go. Is this not reminiscent of Monta at Odds' Indian Springs Project, which I mentioned in a post last week?

Wow, I remember the grand opening of Bannister Mall. I was about eight or nine years old. It seemed so beautiful and new, like it would last forever.
