In the classical guitar world, strummer Anthony Glise is kind of a big deal. You can check out all the honors that Glise has racked up stateside and in Europe at his Web site. I met him back when I was living in St. Joseph -- Glise splits his time between there and France. Just about every year, he organizes an international classical guitar festival in St. Joseph that brings musicians and listeners from around the world to his hometown. Recently, his attention's been focused on the Nova Project, a classical-meets-prog rock experiment. Glise and co. will be jamming on Saturday night at the Record Bar. The 6-9pm matinee show costs $8 and the first 100 people get a free CD, Live at Cafe Acoustic. Cafe Acoustic, by the way, is a cozy, little musicians' hangout in St. Joe that's totally worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood.

Absolutely great information. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Who says there is nothing new under the sun! The NOVA PROJECT is like nothing you've ever heard. If you want to get excited about music again, don't miss these guys!
P.S. Thanks for the kind words, Crystal. St. Mojo, and The Cafe' miss you.
What a refreshing change from the everyday cover bands that you hear so much. These guys have amazing musical talent. Everything was original. They call it classical prog. It's one of the most unique sounds I've heard in a long time. Pretty avante garde for Kansas City, but they're really getting noticed in Europe.
THANKS !
To everyone who made it to the shows ! We had a GREAT time and will be back soon - WITH the new CD !
(ALSO... thanks for Crystal & Blake for the press coverage - you guys are great !)
