You just can't stop the Ssion. Since releasing Fool's Gold in 2007, the group has toured the country several times over, seen its songs remixed by hot electro bands and DJs, taken over Texas, won a Charlotte Street Foundation grant, saved the last unicorn from the clutches of the Lord of Darkness, and mastered the art of the music video.

The latest Ssion Action News Report contains the following updates:

1. The group is hitting the road with electroclash overlords Fischerspooner, beginning May 14 in St. Louis (and not coming here, unf). Bandleader and main source of inspira-ssion Cody Cody Critcheloe tells us that he was introduced to Fischerspooner frontman Casey Spooner by Jeremy Scott, a KC-born fashion designer who lives in LA now and designed some of the costumes for Madonna's Sticky and Sweet Tour. Scott took Critcheloe to see Madonna play last summer. "I was front row when Britney and Justin made their appearance!!!!" Critcheloe tells us via e-mail. "WOAH!!!!"

"Casey Spooner came to our NYC show in December, and he was into it," Critcheloe adds. "He's hilarious/amazing/brilliant. I'm gonna learn so much from him on his tour!"

2. Cody also informs us that the Ssion is preparing to release its Fool's Gold film in September and a new album, titled BENT, the following month.
