Fat Possum Records artist T-Model Ford has booked a July 15th date at Davey's (3402 Main, 816-753-1909). Opening up for the 85 year-old blues singer is Denver's Rev. Deadeye. Davey's owner Michelle Markowitz calls this a "must-see" show. We would tend to agree.

Acts have been announced for the 2nd Annual Kearney Blues Festival on May 30 at Kearney Amphitheater in Jesse James Park (3001 N. Missouri 33, 816-903-4730). Check out local, national and international favorites, including Trampled Under Foot, Levee Town and the Kirksville, MO, female-led quartet B.J. Allen and Blue Voodoo. Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the gate. Start time is 6 p.m.
