Now Streaming: New Rentals "mini-album"

Posted by Jason Harper on Thu, Apr 16, 2009 at 10:47 AM

Former Weezer bassist and Rentals frontman Matt Sharp decided he wanted to make an embed player containing his on-and-off band's new EP, The Story of a Thousand Seasons Past, and we're like "OK!"

The EP is billed as a "mini-album" and is the first installment of the Rentals upcoming, three-CD/EP set, Songs About Time, the band's first proper album in ten years. You can pre-order Songs in various configurations at Rentals.com/store, including a $275 Super Limited Billionaire Edition that comes with, among other treats, a coffee table book, a four-LP 180-gram vinyl edition of Songs About Time that will only be available to billionaires, all three CDs, VIP backstage passes at a future Rentals show, and a trapeze lesson -- oh, wait, that was someone else. Or, save your money for the children and let the smooth, delectable pop-rock of the Rentals delish up your Thursday.
