Here's the best quote I've read all day: "I'm on a kick, devouring every occult book that I can find. It's bad enough I'm gay, but I'm on this occult thing. What is left to alienate me from mainstream culture?" Those are the words of Nashville blues harmonica player Jason Ricci as quoted in the latest issue of Camp magazine. In the enlightening Q&A, Ricci talks about his interest in animals, magic and being an unconventional gay guy in the music industry. Having cut his teeth on punk rock, he's no Barbra Streisand fan boy. And he doesn't want to redecorate your house. Jason Ricci and the New Blood will perform at Record Bar on May 29.
