Tori Amos' piano-hands are the devil's tools, apparently. Her new album, Abnormally Attracted to Sin, comes out May 19. The Sinful Attraction Tour follows, stopping by KC on Thursday, July 23, at the Starlight.

You know what sinfully attracts me? Butter. You know what does not? Tori.

But to each his or her own.

John Collins is spot on w/r/t album title.

I think of Peter Gabriel when I listen to B4L, but then again I'm a guy, as y'all have pointed out.

Boys for Pele has some fierce moments that still resound for me. However, this new LP title is too literal and way lame.

bat for lashes = '90s Bjork + PJ Harvey + the Cure. yr safe. i rocked "a forest" right after "daniel."

also, gotta say -- tori's stuff hasn't aged as well. not finding as much meaning now as i did when i was 16. i feel bad. guilty. but.

No, dude, It sounds like Stevie Nicks and Cocteau Twins. And if you were a jaded 14 year-old girl (which you are not), I would make you reconsider your distaste for Tori Amos' Little Earthquakes, cos it will help you through some tough times.

Do y'all think Bat for Lashes sounds like Tori Amos? If so, then I must reconsider my love for Bat's new album.

Little Earthquakes was my fuckin' jam in high school. But then I found out about Kate Bush.

If the fairies could be dipped in butter first, that sounds like not a bad way to go.
