Making Movies Exclusive MP3, "I am Free," + CD-release shows

Posted by Jason Harper on Tue, Jun 2, 2009 at 4:44 PM

Kansas City's bilingual, Latin-infused rock band Making Movies is celebrating the release of its simmering new single, "Libertad," with two shows in the next week. The first is Friday night at the Czar Bar with the Cherry Tree Parade and Sal Retta. The second show is Monday, June 8, at Jerry's Bait Shop in Lenexa with Giant Radio.

Making Movies will also be appearing on the radio twice this week: tonight at 9:30 p.m. on 90.1 FM KKFI and Thursday at 1 p.m. on 1480 AM La KeBuena. The band has also done interviews with KRBZ and KCUR.

In other words, these guys are working harder to promote one song than most bands do on entire album releases.

The Wayward Blog is pleased to be the first (though surely not the last) to host the English version of "Libertad," which translates to "I am Free."

You can also download a plethora (yes, I said plethora) of older Making Movies songs at the band's blog.
