Tonight's Show: A Camp at the Record Bar

A Camp -- featuring Nina Persson (The Cardigans), Nathan Larson (Shudder to Think) and Niclas Frisk (Atomic Swing) -- released their debut album Colonia last month to critical acclaim. Rolling Stone said, "{Persson} luxuriates in brooding isolation, orchestral drift and heartsick melodies that recall Sixties girl groups and the Carpenters," while Spin called the album "Beguiling, gorgeous stuff -- and smartly funny too."

They're playing tonight at the Record Bar as part of their first North American tour, and considering there's only 14 dates, you'd do well to appreciate the exclusivity of this show. They'll probably be huge by this time next year, and you'll be kicking yourself for staying home.

If you're on the fence, there's a great HD video of them performing over at WFMU's Beware of the Blog. Their performance on WFMU's "Safe and Sound With Trent" program last week is archived at the Free Music Archive, too.
