This is the last week for Cowtown Ballroom...Sweet Jesus at the Armour Screenland Theater (408 Armour Road in North Kansas City, 64116), with showings Monday and Tuesday at 7:45 pm.
There's also a very special finale on Wednesday, June 24. The Kansas City Film Commission is meeting at the Armour at 5:45 pm with free food and a cash bar. The meeting is open to the public. There will be a short business meeting at 6:15, and filmmakers Joe Heyen and Tony Ladesich will speak around 6:30. After that, there will be a final screening of the film with a reduced admission of $5. Come on down and meet Kansas City's film community--they promise to make it fun.
