If you haven't seen Motorhead you need to see Motorhead. The Rev and Nashville Pussy are OK, too, but they're not Motorhead. Any attempt to describe their live show will only, at best, dissolve into the type of mad surrealism that governs the Book of Revelations. Here's Jason Harper trying in a review of Motorhead's 2008 KC show at the Voodoo Lounge:
I have never been so sweatily happy at a metal show. There was a 9-foot-tall woman there who was the largest human I've seen in person in my life, and I could have put my entire head in her navel. I think she ate several men who wanted to harm me, or at least strip me of my denim jacket. Thank you, giantess. Thank you, Motorhead.
