What do you do when the tap-dancing percussion section of your band gets pregnant? Go on tour! Duh. Tilly and the Wall were joined by Lawrence locals Fourth of July and Fortuning Saturday night at the Granada. Dancer Jamie Pressnall, the band's sole percussionist, subtly announced (wearing a Peggy Noland dress complete with baby and umbilical cord) she is five months pregnant.
The band's only other show listing at the moment is next weekend's 80/35 music festival in Des Moines. I've never seen somebody drink so much Vitamin Water, and subsequently hold up the band's encore by going to the bathroom for like five minutes. CONGRATULATIONS to Jamie and husband Derek Pressnall (Tilly's lead guitarist) and heck, the whole crew! You're going to be the best parents ever.
Glitter, confetti, 25-plus people on stage, Kansas City royalty Cody Critcheloe and Peggy Noland, and a bunch of cool Lawrence kids made Saturday magical -- a natural occurrence at a Tilly show.

Hey, Heyooooo! If you're a Popwreckoning blogger, shouldn't you be leaving your name? We'd like to know who you are.
Anon@11:55: No, they're not. (YES THEY ARE, OMG!) No. (YES.) Never have, never will. (YES! OH YES! BABIES!!!)
But seriously, no.
Interesting. Go here for more in-depth coverage of the event if you're wondering how the sets were (Mr. or Miss person above). Cute pictures too! http://popwreckoning.com/2009/...
So...how was the show? How about some description of Fourth of July and Fortuning? How were their sets?
