Lawrence's the Old Black has a new drummer. His name is Aaron Pando, and replaces Sam Owen, who replaced the original drummer, Jon Lane.
"A huge thanks to Sam Owen for his time behind the kit with us. We love him like a brother and can't wait to check out his next project. Also, he's a damn good artist, so if you get a chance to see any of his stuff on exhibit, do it! He probably wouldn't mind if you bought some of it, too."
The Old Black's next show is Farmageddon on August 1st, at the Star-Vu Drive In, in lovely El Dorado, KS. They play with eight other bands, including Black Gasoline and Gulch, who I had no idea were still together. I really might go to this just to see them, because I don't think I've seen Gulch since 2001. It starts at 2:00pm, with the last band playing at 9:30, followed by Terminator: Salvation and The Hangover on the big screen.
