Operation: Jumped Circuit touches down at the Riot Room on August 24. This tour features intergalactic rock 'n' rollers the Phenomenauts in their first jaunt through our neck of the galaxy in three years.
The last time they played around here at the Granada, I pretty much spazzed the entire time. They are one of the most energetic and entertaining live acts I've ever seen. They have a fog machine, glitter cannons, and they all wear their uniforms. They also pilot a spaceship. You kind of have to see it for yourself. Appearing alongside the universe's greatest rockabilly new wave astronaut band is San Francisco's Re-Volts, a punk rock super group fronted by a member of another punk rock super group. The Re-Volts are fronted by Spike Slawson from Me First and The Gimme Gimmes, and also has members of The Swingin' Utters, Dead to Me and One Man Army.
