Tonight from 9 p.m. to midnight at Denny's in Merriam (9001 W. 63rd Street), your dad will be digesting his Moons Over My Hammy, sipping his coffee and wondering what the hell all these kids with body piercings and two-tone hair are doing in his favorite Tuesday night spot.
To promote its Allnighter menu and status as 15th Annual Vans Warped Tour sponsor, the restaurant chain has convinced various Warped bands (read: paid good money) to steer their buses toward Denny's locations for post-tour meat-and-grits meet-'n-greets. Tonight in Merriam, fans can get emo over eggs with Breathe Carolina, TV/TV, The Devil Wears Prada, Sing It Loud and Attack Attack. RSVP here before you go.
Stop Two: Westport
Meanwhile, for the 21-and-over crowd, word on the streets is that in addition to Angelo Moore (aka Dr. Madd Vibe) -- who is set to join local dub/reggae group the Maytags on stage at 11 p.m. -- other touring acts will be hitting the Record Bar tonight for some afterparty revelry. We don't know which bands, unfortunately, but we've heard five buses will make their way to Westport. Surely we can sneak on to at least one of them. Just remember your mantra dudes, ladies: BJs are fine, HJs are great -- but don't let 'em do anything that'll impregnate!
