Incoming: Brother Ali at the Granada, September 27

Brother Ali's new record, Us, is out September 22 on Rhymesayers Entertainment, featuring guest appearances from Chuck D, Freeway, Joell Ortiz and Stokley Williams of Mint Condition. Rhymesayers is noted for its strong hip-hop that goes beyond the "bitches, blunts, and 40s" mentality, with such acts as P.O.S. and Atmosphere.

Brother Ali plays the Granada in Lawrence on September 27 with Evidence (of Dilated Peoples), BK One and Toki Wright. Expect the show to be a mix of socially conscious, introspective hip-hop, with plenty of soul.
