This August 29 and 30, there'll be no sleepin' at 18th and Vine (not that there ever is sleepin' down there on a Saturday night) as the Mutual Musicians Foundation celebrates the birthday of immortal superlegend and KC native son Charles "Yardbird" Parker with 24+ hours of music and ceremony. Here's the schedule so far. Call the Foundation at 816-471-5212 for more details.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 29

12 p.m. - Jazz & Blues Musicians Group Photo

1 to 2 p.m. - Kansas City Jazz Pioneers Flags of Fame Dedication

2 to 8 p.m. - Two Outdoor Stages with Jazz & Blues Performances

8 p.m. - Mutual Musicians Foundation Early Jam (Inside)

12 a.m. - 12 O'Clock Jump Radio Show Live on 89.3 KCUR-FM Radio

1 to 6 a.m. - Mutual Musicians Foundation Late Night Jazz Jam

SUNDAY, AUGUST 30

1 p.m. - Charlie Parker Saxophone Salute at Lincoln Cemetery
