Before Lucero plays their show at the Crossroads KC with Cross Canadian Ragweed and Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights on September 11, frontman Ben Nichols is playing a free show at 1819 Central, a gallery and art space in the Crossroads.
Nichols will play solo and acoustic. The show starts at 6pm, and is all ages. Space is limited, so get there early, or you're totally bones. The event description on Facebook promises that Nichols will deliver with "Jameson-induced wit."
Considering we got hosed out of the Revival Tour last year (this year, too!), you might want to take advantage of a unique musical opportunity here in Kansas City. Lucero's mournful tunes suit themselves rather well to the acoustic treatment, so this ought to be a pretty fantastic show.
Again, get there early, as the event space can only accommodate up to 100 people, and it will full-on fill up.
