The Ramblers Club is the spot for underground hip-hop tonight as Seattle crews the Let Go and Rudy & the Rhetoric bring their Tie One On Tour to Kansas City.

Comprising producer Andrew "Rudy" Willingham and rapper Jon "Rhetoric" Everist, R&R weaves dark lyrical prognostications over deep, glitchy beats in a way that El-P fans might dig. Said the Seattle Weekly about their latest album, Gutterbrook:

Willingham and Everist take from hip-hop what they need and shun what they don't. The result is a monster mash of industrial, electronica, and metal overlaid with opaque but effective lyrics that, save for one track produced by the Gigantics, is all theirs.

Welcoming the Seattle contingent: KC's Human Cropcircles, who don't poke their heads out often (at least not together), and acoustic-guitar rhymesmiths Clay Hughes and Tony Beats.

As the fine print on the poster says, if you wear a necktie to the show, you'll get a free album.

And if you the only necktie you own is holiday themed, it's time for a trip to Men's Warehouse, dude.
