A Punk Rock Comic Not By Mitch Clem

Comic artist Liz Baillie created a comic book about her obsession with the Bouncing Souls. It's called Sing Along Forever, and is a 44 page one-shot minicomic about her quest to make a minicomic about the Bouncing Souls. Kind of meta, but amazingly entertaining.

It's subtitled "A Love Letter to the Bouncing Souls," and the band liked it so much, they're going to release the second printing on their label, Chunksaah. Hopefully the band will have copies when they play the Beaumont in November. If you can't wait until then, you can preview the comic on Baillie's website.

I would also heartily recommend reading her account of an in-store reading of the comic, along with an acoustic performance from the Souls. It's fantastically detailed, and if you're a fan of the band, it will warm the cockles of your heart.

You can buy a first printing from Microcosm Publishing, along with her regular comic, My Brain Hurts, about a bunch of queer punks in New York City.
